Superlative Arms.625" Adjustable Gas Block, Bleed Off - Set Screw, Stainless Steel, Melonite Finish

The Superlative Arms patented "Bleed Off", direct impingement, gas block for the AR15 platform adjusts the gas flow by bleeding the gas out of the block instead of restricting the flow like conventional adjustable blocks. Results:

  • The pressure used in the block is reduced only to the amount required to drive the bolt carrier. The remaining gas / pressure are bled out of the block allowing the system to run much cleaner and cooler
  • Reduction of felt recoil
  • Patent pending adjustment detent is located outside of the block and therefore no contamination
  • The gas adjustment screw does not restrict the gas flow; therefore there is no erosion or seizing of the screw / no loss of detent due to carbon build up. Although it is removable, we have added a safety mechanism, which stops you from unintentionally backing the screw all the way out
  • When using SBR's and / or suppressors the bleed off port allows the excessive pressure to be exhausted out of the block reducing blow back

5 of 5 Works great, flexible use August 4, 2020

While I purchased this block quite a bit back I finally got around to using it.  I usually use SLR Sentry series, but I've used a few Superlatives and have nothing but good things to say about them. Works well, positive clicks (even when carbon fouled). Installed on a Ballistic Advantage Mid-pencil barrel. Runs 7 open clicks unsuppressed, 5 open clicks suppressed. I've never used the vent feature, but it is an interesting idea.

5 of 5 Great addition to my non-NFA shorty September 20, 2019

Just completed a new Mega Arms billet build with a pinned/welded 16" OAL barrel. I added this Superlative Arms adjustable gas block to tune for the barrel's mid-length gas, which makes this a great combination for both gas tuning and recoil reduction. Access to the clickable tuning port is easy with the included long allen wrench/hex key. I started at a mid-point gas selection and followed the instructions to open/bleed the gas until the bolt wouldn't hold back on an empty mag, then tuned to return it to the point of hold back, knowing that I had the right amount of gas to cycle but not excessive, while also allowing me to tune for my desired spent cartridge ejection angle. Although a little pricey, my future quality builds will include this gas block to maximize my tuning capabilities with minimal effort, without having to play around with different buffer weights and springs. Absolute must have!!

Sourced this to tune my rifle for a lightweight BCG. Extremely easy to install and setup, and RTBA had the best price out there. Spike’s Tactical uses this as their OEM adjustable gas block, do you need a better testimonial than that?  Recommended.
