Description

FAXON FIREARMS 14.5" PENCIL, 5.56 NATO, Mid-Length, 4150 QPQ

Our pencil lightweight barrels are the lightest in the industry. Don't take just our word for it, major companies like Robar, Mag Tactical, and others choose Faxon pencils for their ideal balance of weight and performance. The slim muzzle device measures .620" in diameter, which allows a gas block and barrel nut to slide over the muzzle device. As the 3-port muzzle break has been pinned and welded, the OAL of this barrel is 16".

5 of 5 My new favorite non-NFA shorty September 20, 2019
Reviewer: MikeB from Georgia
Just completed a new Mega Arms billet build and was looking for the shortest, non-NFA barrel to keep it lightweight. This pinned/welded 16" OAL barrel was perfect. Fired 50 rounds during barrel break-in and ACOG+RMR+BUIS sighting and was pleased with its accuracy. I added a Superlative Arms adjustable gas block to tune for the barrel's mid-length gas, which makes this a great combination for both gas tuning and recoil reduction. The pin and weld point is noticeable but clean, with the pin slightly visible, just the way I expected it to be. This is my new favorite of all my builds and much of that is because of another great barrel from Faxon Industries!!

3 of 5 Not pretty February 14, 2017
Reviewer: Brad C from Raleigh, NC United States
Haven't assembled the rifle yet, but the weld work on the muzzle of this barrel was a bit sloppy.  I would have expected better touch-up work once the brake was pinned.  The weld mark is obvious and not ground smooth or hard-coated to match the finish.  Since this is a black barrel and muzzle, the weld mark is a pretty big blemish.  I'd hope this was a mistake, but I'm curious to know RTB's opinion.
