Buffer Springs

Get better performance from your AR by replacing the factory ar buffer spring. Get more power or less power depending on what loads you use. The replacement buffer tube springs come in various power levels to match the performance you need. If you hear a funny noise in the stock when the spring returns, it means the spring is dragging on the buffer tube. Replace the spring with a coated wire or a different style of spring to reduce or eliminate the noise.

Right To Bear offers buffer springs for rifles, carbines and pistol-length AR platforms. A standard rifle length buffer spring is usually 12.75 inches with 41-42 coils. Light springs for rifle platforms can be longer. A typical carbine buffer spring is about 10.5 inches and has 37-39 coils. Pistol-length springs can be even shorter with a 9mm AR spring being the shortest and lightest of them all.
