STANDARD SHIPPING POLICY (WITHOUT RTB PACKAGE PROTECTION)
We do everything we can to get your order out quickly and safely, but once a package leaves our warehouse it is in the carrier’s hands.
We will not be held financially responsible for packages that are stolen from your doorstep, mailbox, place of business or any other delivery location if RTB Package Protection is not purchased for that order. If this is a concern, please request signature confirmation in the order comments at checkout.
Insurance from the carrier does NOT cover packages that are stolen after they have been delivered. If signature confirmation is not requested and RTB Package Protection is not purchased, RightToBear.com will NOT be held financially responsible for packages that are lost or stolen during transit or after the carrier marks them as delivered.
RTB PACKAGE PROTECTION (OPTIONAL ADD-ON)
RTB Package Protection is an optional add-on you can purchase for a small flat fee. When you add RTB Package Protection to an order, we take on the hassle and risk of common shipping problems for that shipment.
With RTB Package Protection, we will typically cover:
- Packages that are lost in transit (never show up).
- Packages that arrive with significant damage to the product.
- Porch theft situations where the carrier shows the package as “delivered” but you did not receive it.
For approved RTB Package Protection claims, we will, at our discretion, either:
- Ship a replacement of the same or substantially similar item (subject to availability), or
- Refund the purchase price of the affected item(s) (excluding shipping charges, taxes and fees) to your original payment method or as store credit.
What RTB Package Protection does not cover:
- Orders confiscated or refused by a carrier or government agency (for example, because of address or regulatory issues).
- Packages addressed incorrectly because of an address entered wrong at checkout.
- Loss, theft or damage involving fraud, chargebacks or payment that is false, invalid or uncollectible.
- Purely cosmetic damage to packaging where the product inside is fully functional.
- Shipments that are refused or redirected by the customer.
RTB Package Protection is a service from Right To Bear, not an insurance policy, and we reserve the right to deny or limit claims in cases of suspected fraud or abuse.
How to file an RTB Package Protection claim:

within 5 business days of:
- the carrier’s “delivered” scan (for porch theft or delivered-but-missing packages), or
- the expected delivery date shown in tracking for packages that appear lost.
- Include your order number, tracking number and a brief description of what happened.
- For damaged items, keep all packaging and products and be ready to send clear pictures of the box, packing materials and damaged item(s).
Once we have the required information, we’ll review your claim and, if approved, process a replacement or refund as quickly as possible.
DAMAGED ITEMS / MISSING ITEMS / PARTIAL ORDERS
If you receive a damaged shipment and/or your order is missing item(s), you will need to contact us within 5 business days of receipt. You will also need to keep ALL the packaging, invoices and products and provide us with pictures upon request.
If RTB Package Protection was purchased for that order: once all the information is relayed to us and your claim is approved, we will typically reimburse you or send a replacement without waiting on the carrier’s insurance decision.
If RTB Package Protection was NOT purchased: once all the information is relayed to us, we will open a claim with the carrier. You will be reimbursed or sent a replacement only when the carrier approves the insurance claim and we are reimbursed.
We do not send partial shipments. If your order is missing an item, you need to follow the directions above ASAP. We can make exceptions for the 5-day rule under certain circumstances. However, no exceptions will be made if you cannot provide pictures of the packaging, invoice and products received.
