Shop Suppressors at Right To Bear
Suppressors (silencers) reduce muzzle blast and felt recoil, making range time more comfortable and improving control for faster, more accurate follow-up shots. Materials, baffle geometry, and mounting systems all influence tone, back-pressure, and durability—choose the model that aligns with your caliber and use case.
Right To Bear currently offers CMMG suppressors. These models are selected for reliability, modern construction, and compatibility with popular AR and pistol platforms.
Suppressor FAQs
Which brands do you sell?
We currently stock CMMG suppressors.
How do popular brands compare?
Shooters often compare CMMG with SilencerCo, Dead Air, SureFire, and YHM. Differences typically include materials (e.g., 17-4 vs. titanium), baffle design, mounting systems, weight/length, and serviceability. Match features to your caliber rating, barrel length limits, and intended use.
Is a tax stamp still required?
Through December 31, 2025, ATF Form 4 suppressor transfers require the $200 federal transfer tax. For Form 4 applications submitted on or after January 1, 2026, the transfer tax for suppressors is $0 under current federal law. Registration, background check, and approval remain required.
Do I still use ATF eForms and submit fingerprints?
Yes. The NFA process remains in place: Form 4 (often via eForms), fingerprints, a photo, and approval before transfer.
Are suppressors legal in my state?
State laws vary. Check our Shipping Restrictions page for current eligibility before ordering.
Which thread pattern and mount do I need?
Verify your barrel thread (common: 1/2×28 for 5.56, 5/8×24 for .30 cal), then pick a compatible direct-thread or quick-attach system. Always confirm caliber and barrel-length ratings for your host.
What changes should I expect when shooting suppressed?
Expect reduced blast and felt recoil; point-of-impact shift is normal and usually repeatable. Gas-operated rifles may run “gassier”—tune buffer/gas and select appropriate ammo for best reliability.
