RTB AR15 Lightweight Carrier - Black Nitride (carrier only)

Featuring our new Right To Bear Lightweight carrier, weighing in at approximately 6.8 Ounces, or 194.1 Grams for you lightweight build fanatics! Using our low mass Carrier creates less reciprocating mass moving back and forth inside the action, which reduces recoil significantly. Our lightweight carrier also allows proper cycling with less gas. When used in conjunction with an adjustable gas block & reduced power buffer spring, you can tune the gas way down, which will reduce muzzle rise and carbon build up.

The increased lubricity from the Black Nitride process allows you to take full advantage of its lightweight profile. The slick surface combined with our lightweight carrier, creates very little resistance and allows the rifle to cycle smoother and increases reliability.

    Light weight BCG

    Substantial decrease in weight compared to my NiB fail zero bolt. And my Aero is much heavier. Took the guts from my NiB and put them in this one for the perfect light weight BCG The action is smoother and faster, the recoil had disappeared. It's pretty crazy for the price and with my Ultradine apollo max comp... is stupid flat shooting lol

    Low Mass Light Weight Bolt Carrier

    This was the ticket to fix my issues with a particular build. I have been chasing a short stroke for a little while, it is a mid length DI on a 16” length barrel. It was a great price…. Anyways, I had adjusted the gas block in relation to the port hole, made sure it was getting max gas, no change. Buffer assembly as well, but if I drop this VCG into it, the rifle runs flawlessly. Thank you RTB for your quality at an affordable price!

    Excellent Experience

    The product was exactly what I expected. After reading some of the reviews, I was worried that it may not have the forward assist serrations, so I called. An employee retrieved the part and sent me photos of it so I could verify it was what I wanted. As others have stated, there are some tooling marks, mainly in places where the mass reduction cuts have been made...nothing too visible on an assembled rifle. The nitride is done well enough for the price range, and the rest of the carrier appears to be to spec.

    I had a .300 blackout pistol that was under gassed and this solved my problem along with their reduced power spring. Worth every penny!

    Lightweight BCG. SUPERLITE!!!!

    Just what I wanted to shed some weight. Dropped in, racked, boom!!!! I didn’t need to change springs or buffer or adjust gas. Plug and play. I’m only buying these BCG from now on. The love affair with quad rails and accessorizing ARs is over. Get with the revolution and shed the weight.

    10.5" 300blk suppressed with a 3.3oz stealth buffer spring from Armaspec and bfsiii binary trigger (with reduced tension trigger springs) cut through subs like butter. I bought the 9310 MPI bolt completion kit RTB has separately. Will be upgrading to a Ti firing pin but the bcg runs smoother than my NiB from Toolcraft - and that thing is super nice. First round was a light strike but it ran perfectly after that. Highly recommend test firing before relying on it as a home defense option. Feel bad posting this while it's out of stock :(

    Product has changed from picture

    In the picture for this product listing, it shows serration to support use of a forward assist. The one I received in September 2020 is missing this feature. That does drop weight slightly though, it's only 187 gr/6.6oz. Opening in the back is 0.612in, so properly comparable with captured spring systems. Nitrating looks well done, it's extremely slick in all the places that matter. Machining could be slightly better though as some of the non-friction bearing surfaces are still rough and swirled. Can't nail down the OEM of these, but they appear to match some older RCA light weight carries at a much lower price. I like it for the price and won't be returning it, but it's not *exactly* what I was expecting.

    Paired with a decreased power buffer spring and tunable gas block these should solve your 300 blackout pistol cycling woes.

    Pretty good function with visible imperfections.

    To start, the carrier is pretty light, and paired with a Taccom light weight rifle buffer system and reduced power spring, it makes full 6.8 SPC II power loads super soft recoiling. My only gripe with the carrier is noticeable machining marks in the interior. While I understand it's not something I paid top dollar for, I'd hope for these to be cleaned up a bit before they have them nitrided. I doubt it'll cause any function issues or undue wear though.
