Description

FLAME Tri Prong Flash Hider w/ MuzzLok®

Contrary to the name, the FLAME flash hider virtually eliminates muzzle flash from any barrel length. Three prongs were chosen for maximum strength to ensure the FLAME could handle the abuse of hard duty, no matter the locale. Manufactured from gun-barrel steel, the FLAME is treated in a Salt Bath QPQ Nitride for maximum durability, corrosion resistance, and aesthetic charm.

The FLAME is ideal for suppressed shooters with direct-thread cans. The FLAME is easily attached, timed, and detached on the range using field tools. It is the ultimate "thread protector"!

MUZZLOK®

Faxon's invented "Muzzlock" feature on this device allows for easy timing and installation of your device without the need for a crush washer or shims. By using the extension nut to adjust the length of the device, you can adjust the rotational timing. It is recommended that you tighten the device to the recommended torque specification of 20-25 foot pounds. By not having to overcome the resistance of the crush washer, this allows devices to be removed and reinstalled in the field if desired.

· No crush washer needed.

· Attach and remove in the field.

· Time your muzzle device quickly and easily.

Good idea, not so great fitment June 6, 2017
Reviewer: Rob K
Wanted to try one for use on a suppressor host. Easy on/off for when the suppressor was off.

I think the threading might be off on this one. SUPER-tight threading on Faxon 10.5 pencil. Thought I was cross-threading and kept backing it off.

Tried it on two Ballistic advantage barrels, would not thread on to those at all.

Tried a Faxon 16" pencil and it threaded on that a bit easier than the first.

not sure if Faxon made them this way,  might just be this unit.

Performance: On 10.5 pencil was okay as a flash-hider. Weight is okay (bit more than birdcage). Has a tuning-fork 'ding' when you shoot. Noticeable by the shooter & those within 20'. Others who shot it said it was annoying. That's just part of thin tri-prongs.

I'd probably rate this 4-5 stars if it didn't have the fitment issues. But it does.
