FN America Cold Hammer Forged Midlength Lightweight AR-15 16" NATO Barrel, Light Profile


Introducing FN America's legendary Hammer Forged 16" Barrel. This Lightweight 16" CHF barrel is produced by FN, utilizing their proprietary HF process. These Mil Spec Barrels are built with the same barrel material as the M240 and M249 Saw light machine guns used by our military. Designed to withstand a tremendous round count before showing any sign of wear. FN M240/249 barrel material is reinforced with a Hard Chrome Lined bore that is twice as thick as ordinary Mil Spec chrome lined barrels. The hammer forge process, combined with the double chrome lined bore, produces a barrel that has over a 20,000 round count service life!

This proprietary lightweight profile is the perfect compromise between thicker barrels and "pencil barrels". It's stout enough to instill confidence, but light enough to give your rifle the perfect balance. The Hammer Forge process gives the barrel a stronger crystalline structure, which increases rigidity of the barrel. The increased strength of this CHF lightweight barrel will allow more accurate shot groups, even when the barrel heats up.

    CHF is the only way to go.

    I bought this barrel to go with my Franklin Armory BFS3 trigger.The FN CHF is by far the best barrel I own. I have ran this barrel in ''Binary Mode" for about 300rnds and I did not experience any shift in MOA when the barrel really heated up. I am also running a V-Seven systems Inconel gas tube with a Geissele Super Gas Block. The AO Precision BCG pairs well with my rifle FN CHF and BFS3 set-up. I wish all of my rifles had FN CHF Barrels.

    Quickly shipped and well packed

    Haven’t shot it yet, but it’s what it’s advertised. A new FN double chrome lined CHF barrel. Barrel was packaged like it was meant for military use.

    As described, excellent deal, processed and shipped quickly. Pleasant first time transaction. I was mildly sceptical due to not finding the barrel on FN’s website, however they make this same barrel profile for other brands. FN logo followed by HF MP 5.56 NATO 1/7 stamping.     Excellent company, Excellent Product

    I purchased this Barrel for a duty rifle. Processing and shipping was fast. The barrel is excellent for a lightweight build that came in at 6lb 5oz with a lightweight hand guard and optic. I haven't shot it with a scope, but 1000+ rounds through the barrel and it shoots tighter groups than the 2moa red dot on it can get an old set of eyes. RTB has excellent products and pricing, and I will definitely be purchasing more. RTB can you get the button rifled FN barrel at this price?

    Awsome barrel

    The barrel is engraved near the muzzle end right on top with the FN logo and HP MP 1/7 so it is tested(the description doesn't state).This is a good deal for a CHF FN barrel and these folks ship fast.
